Elysha Horton

Personal Development Coach

My coaching approach is developmental with a humanistic heart. In practice, this means I am less interested in ‘fixing’ you and more interested in helping you to understand yourself and your goals. I am unlikely to approach our sessions with a ten-step system (unless you ask for one!), but I will create the conditions required for you to find the answers you need.

Described as a reflective and relational coach, I can help you to slow down, think more clearly, and reconnect with what actually matters to you.

My current services are detailed below, and beyond that, you will find the steps you can take to book a discovery call with me if you would like to explore coaching.

If you have any questions, then the FAQs at the bottom of the page might be helpful. If you can’t find an answer to your question there or you need more information, please drop me an email 😌

Services

  • For when you have one specific thing you want to work through.

Perhaps a decision you're sitting with, a moment you're stuck in, or a question you haven't quite been able to answer on your own.

One focused conversation to help you find some clarity and leave with a sense of what's next.

    1 x one-hour session - £60

  • For a bigger season of change.

Four sessions over eight weeks, held fortnightly, so we have time to go somewhere together.

This is for the kind of change that needs more than one conversation, where you might want to explore, reflect, and move through something.

    4 x one hour sessions £220

Book a free discovery call with me if…

You're in a period of change and are not sure what you actually want

You're stuck in your own head and need space to think out loud

You're building something and feel the weight of figuring it all out

You know something needs to shift, but haven't found the words yet

  • Book a free discovery call (30 min) — This is our opportunity to have a chat, look at where you currently are and see if working together feels right.

Please fill out the discovery form before the session so I can show up in the most useful way for you.

  • Choose what fits — If we decide to go ahead, you pick the option from my current services that makes sense for where you are right now.

  • We get started — Sessions are held via video call, at a time that works for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A coach helps you think more clearly about where you are, what you want, and what might be getting in the way of reaching that. Unlike a consultant or mentor, I won’t be telling you what to do, but I'm here to help you figure out what's right for you.

That might look like working through a big decision, making sense of a transition, or simply having a space to think out loud with someone who's listening. Sometimes the time is reflective and exploratory, and sometimes it is more practical and action-focused; however, I often find it is a bit of both!

  • Therapy tends to focus on processing the past and working through psychological or emotional difficulties.

Coaching tends to be more focused on the present and future. We will look at where you are now, where you want to get to, and what might be in the way.

I'm not a therapist, and coaching isn't a substitute for therapeutic support. If something comes up in our work together that feels like it needs that kind of specialist care, it is my responsibility to let you know.

  • I currently hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology, a Level 3 Life Coaching Diploma, and a Level 2 Counselling Skills Certificate. These qualifications give me a grounding in both the theory and practice of coaching and human development.

I also have several years of experience in Learning & Development in a law firm and am currently working towards my CIPD Level 5 qualification in Organisational Learning and Development.

Finally, I have worked as a volunteer coach with young people, coaching them through periods of change and transition.

I'm committed to continuing to develop my practice.

  • That really depends on what you bring to our sessions and what you're hoping to achieve.

Some people come with one specific thing they want to think through, and a single session is enough. Others are in a bigger period of change and find that a block of sessions gives them the time and space to really move through something.

We'd talk about what feels right for you on our discovery call, and there's no pressure to commit to anything before you're ready.

  • If you feel this way, the discovery call is the right place to start.

It's a free, no-pressure 30-minute conversation where we can talk about what's going on for you and whether coaching with me feels like the right fit. There's no obligation either way. If it doesn't feel right, I'll always try to point you in a direction that does.
